Crop Growth

Growth is a curve. Not a harvest-day surprise.

Canopy expansion tracked day over day, per tray and per plant — with a day-by-day time-lapse of any plant in the room.

You find out that a cycle underperformed when you weigh it. By then the cycle is over, and the reason — the four days in week two when the canopy stopped expanding — is gone, along with any chance of doing something about it.

Crop Growth turns daily imaging into a curve. Canopy area is measured every day, per tray and per plant, and plotted against the days the cycle has actually been running. A tray that has flattened out is visible while it is still in the rack.

And when you want to know what happened, you scrub the time-lapse: the same plant, day after day, from the same position. "It stalled around day eleven" stops being a theory and becomes something you can watch.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

What exactly is being measured?

Canopy area — the footprint of the plant seen from above — captured by the imaging robots on every pass, and tracked per tray and per plant across the life of the cycle.

How is this different from Crop Health?

Crop Health answers which plants do not look right today. Crop Growth answers how the crop has actually been developing over time. The same imaging, two different questions.

What happens once the canopy closes?

Per-plant area becomes unreliable once plants grow into their neighbours, so the platform pauses the measurement and says so rather than quietly reporting a number it does not trust. Imaging continues, so the time-lapse stays complete.
